Ryan Heshka is a self-taught artist, currently residing in Vancouver, Canada. Fuelled by long prairie winters growing up in Winnipeg, he spent a lot of his childhood drawing, building cardboard cities and making super 8 film. Early influences that are evidential in his works to this day include antiquated comics and pulp magazines, natural history, graphic design and music, movies and animation.
His illustrations have appeared in publications such as Vanity Fair, Playboy, Esquire and the New York Times. In addition to gallery shows across North America and Europe, he is currently working on picture book projects for children as well as adults.
