APAK are husband-and-wife collaborative duo Ayumi and Aaron Piland, who hide out like hermits on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon in their cosy studio. Apak’s works illustrate “the fantastic utopian life and adventures of little beings living in a lush organic environments surrounded by curious and friendly little animals.”
Their whimsical tableaux about dreaming, living, sharing and the miniature environment around us remind us of childhood storybooks with a touch of twisted imagination - and Outré is proud to have hosted a number of showcases of original paintings of APAK's work.
