Sigrid Calon
Sigrid Calon enters the twilight zone between art & design. As an autonomous maker with her own clear visual language, she investigates the possibilities to use this language and to apply it in different materials and different media. Her work is often both conceptual and intuitive. Her first book To the Extend of / \ | & - has led to Calon’s international break-through in 2012. The book and eponymous riso prints have taken her to Art Book Fairs in Europe and US, to institutes such as the MoMa and V&A. It resulted in remarkable partnerships within the world of design; Swatch, Unliqo and Forbo. Sigrid works and lives in Tilburg in the Netherlands.
