Glenn Barr
Glenn Barr is one of Detroit's most celebrated and successful underground artists - and his work has been featured in a variety of comics and graphic novels such as Mad, DC Comics and Paradox Press. Barr's contribution to animation includes background styling for The Ren and Stimpy Show, Bjork's I Miss You video and The New Woody Woodpecker Show. His paintings have been reproduced in a number of art journals as well as in his own books "Lowlife Paradise", "Haunted Paradise" and "Faces".
Glenn’s work revolves around the nefarious side of city life – the laneways, clubs and secret interiors which are the backdrop to his fringe world, a surreal place influenced by pulp and noir, and laced with urban mythology.
