Loretta Lizzio is an Australian artist based in Far North Queensland whose practice explores romanticism, nostalgia, and the enduring poetry of the natural world. Working across studio painting and large-scale works, Lizzio creates emotionally resonant imagery that blurs the line between memory and imagination. Each work evokes a sense of longing, an intimate atmospher, where softness and strength coexist.
Lizzio’s practice is underpinned by a nuanced exploration of femininity. Each piece unfolds as a suspended moment, inviting viewers into a space that shifts between dream and lived experience. Committed to continual experimentation and refinement, she expands her visual language while preserving the emotional depth and sensitivity that define her work.
