Note from the artist on this work:

From a kingdom covered by endless desert, a group of travellers dream of bringing spring to their homeland. Using magic, they open a portal to a realm where spring lasts forever. There, they seek a magician who possesses an enchanted petal with the power to awaken spring in any land. They hope to carry it home so that their own kingdom may finally become lush and green.
