From the artist: "This is Matilda. The thoughts behind it are along the lines of a national costume having been developed in our isolation - part 'Picnic a hanging rock', part indigenous markings, part wild flora (I have big wattle obsession), and all in bright colours which can be found in Oz. Also inspired by May Gibbs".
