Artist statement:

In 'Before the Bloom', Dulk captures a suspended moment between extinction and renewal. A colossal, vegetation-covered creature shelters fragile new life, embodying nature’s resilience in the face of time and transformation. Prehistoric and present worlds converge, suggesting that evolution is both memory and prophecy. The target held at its chest hints at humanity’s silent role: observer, protector, or threat. Balancing vulnerability and strength, the painting reflects on the delicate threshold that precedes regeneration: the quiet tension before life blooms again.
