Artist statement:

My work is classically driven with the influence of contemporary themes.  I am fascinated by the human form, colorful environments, fashion, cosmos and light.  Exploration of these elements in relationships, friendships, solidarity and play fuels my paintings.

My process of working begins with a concept, followed by inspiring images, sketches, and studies. I plan for the complete image including the background and wardrobe, then paint them from life and conduct a photo shoot. Painting from life is very important to me. I feel it gives life and soul to a painting.
I let my work evolve as I go, sometimes letting it take on a life of its own. I am constantly trying to hone my skills and progress as a painter.  So painting from life and experimenting are crucial.
