Artist statement:

Alberto Ortega creates oil paintings based on miniature sets he constructs as references. Working at a small scale allows him to carefully control light, perspective, and spatial relationships, approaching each scene with the precision of a film director. These constructed environments - often recalling mid-century American suburbia - become stages where subtle narratives can unfold.
