Each year, as the world turns from winter to spring, I find myself remembering the stories from myth that explain the change of seasons. I love seeing the blossoms appear on the trees and plants around my home. This painting represents my lifelong fascination with that annual transformation through the ancient celebration of flowers and the goddess Flora, the Floralia.
