Charles Krafft

Charles Krafft is infamous for his twisted Disasterware artworks which take the tradition of blue and white Delft porcelain collectables and infuses it with darkness, gritty reality and historical shame. Krafft (the oldest promising young artist in Seattle) is the real deal and one of Outre's most favourite artists working outside of painting.
His fine “human” bone china arsenal includes Thompson assault rifles, Uzi and Intratech machine pistols, Beretta and Smith & Wesson pistols, 50mm machine gun rounds, switchblade knives and hand grenades. His intention, he says, is to produce "life-size ceramic weaponry so gorgeous and patently functionless that it will bedazzle and confound everyone who sees it."
His book Villa Delirium is a wonderfully uncomfortable look into the mind of a surreal and prolific genius.
