News 114: New Shows Coming Up, Books, Prints

Iggy and Lou Lou
Irene Grishin-Selzer is Igs from Iggy and Lou Lou!  Another local Melbourne artist with world-class standing.  Her new range of porcelain figures are grizzly bears in pools of gold.  Wading, sinking, rising from.  They are special miniatures with an aura of old time charm.  Come into the Melbourne gallery to see these up close and personal.

Book Shipment
Outré Gallery are specialists in imported art and design titles.  And we just had about 20 big boxes come through the door.  Oh, the goodness! We get small numbers of selected books and our range is viewable instore.  Sorry, not online!

Dominique Mitchelson
We have a beautiful range of delicate, dreamy dry point etchings by local Melbourne artist Dominique Mitchelson.  Super fine, super low editions which are finding new homes everyday.  This is the teaser to her 2009 show.

Audrey Kawasaki
Audrey Kawasaki is the artist behind some of the most ethereal, dreamy girl-portraits of our stable.  We are lucky enough to have two of her latest print releases made available for Australian customers.  Come into our Elizabeth Street gallery to preview these...

Sorry, no international enquiries!

Forthcoming Exhibitions

Its already been a busy, art-filled year and now we are really proud to announce our forthcoming exhibitions for 2008.  Angelique Houtkamp, Beci Orpin (Princess Tina), Derek Yaniger and Lab Partners.  If you are a keen collector of originals - we suggest that you sign up for the Waiting Lists of the artists that you fancy.  These Waiting Lists are for those wanting to buy, not come to the opening (just so you know!)

Farewell Shannon, Hello Ed
Outré Gallery has a tight knit team.  We are like the best kind of disfunctional family.  And now one of our sons has left for green pastures in New York City.  Big high fives to Shannon who embarks on an exciting stint somewhere in DUMBO.

Equally big high fives to Ed who has joined us at the Melbourne gallery.  We think he's brave.  We also think he's great.  Ed is also the Man in This Charming Man - check out his amazing jewellery.
